Just a stone’s throw away in York, meanwhile, Harvestfest is another must-do this time of year. The 37th annual edition goes down on October 15th at Short Sands Beach, with live music, food, arts-and-craft vendors from all across New England, Kidsfest storytelling and pumpkin-decorating, and other activities on offer.

The beautiful weather and scenery of fall, plus lighter crowds, make this a wonderful time of year to simply revel in Ogunquit’s ambience and culture.
